Memorial Kitchen Remodel
This Houston Memorial kitchen remodel of this 1960’s style home was part of a whole house renovation of an outdated mid century home. The original kitchen was closed off and small, walls were removed to open up the space. The owners wanted an open contemporary design with unique features and luxury amenities while keeping with the mid century modern design theme. The ceiling was vaulted in the kitchen, breakfast and dining area and beams were added for architectural effect. The kitchen cabinetry was imported from Germany manufactured by Bulthaup. We installed high quality contemporary white lacquer for lower cabinets. The installation of the upper Applewood cabinets added warmth to the space and were carefully installed so grain meets to form a design.
This Memorial kitchen remodel incorporates the use of natural materials such as Silestone Quartz for the counter tops. A custom custom breakfast nook in the retro style of the 1960’s was built by us. The benches were custom leather upholstered and the tabletop is a 3Form product, a leading manufacturer of award-winning, sustainable building materials. New flooring was artisanal concrete, 2 double doors and a 25ft Jen-Weld window was installed to open up into the yard and bring in more natural light.
